Meghna — draft voice-over (plain English)
Length: ~3 minutes Picture: live https://cafe.artof.link/ (preferred) or silent prototype `clips/part2-3min-prototype-silent.mp4` Rule: no FR/NFR codes in speech. Status: draft script for Meghna to record — not a finished teammate VO take yet.
How to use
- Mute pre-flight: open Home → Gallery → Menu → Reservations once; health check OK.
- Record yourself reading the lines below while sharing the live site (best), or talk over the silent prototype.
- Leave ~1s breath between beats. Stop at the handoff line — Architecture takes over.
Timed lines
Open (0:00–0:20)
“Here’s Café Fausse live. I’ll walk Home, Gallery, Menu, then Reservations. This host is staging for the weekend — not forever.”
Home (0:20–0:55)
“Home shows the restaurant name, how to reach us, and when we’re open. Nav goes to Menu, Gallery, Reservations, and About.”
Gallery (0:55–1:30)
“Gallery uses the official photos. Lightbox for a closer look. Awards and guest quotes are the freeze text — we don’t rewrite them.”
Menu (1:30–2:15)
“Menu categories and prices come from the freeze — we don’t invent prices. Bruschetta, eight-fifty — honestly, no matching photo. Grilled Salmon — price as printed on the page.”
Reservations (2:15–2:50)
“Booking form: date, time slot, guests, name, email, optional phone. Only valid future slots for our hours — Sunday ends earlier. Happy path assigns a table from one through thirty. If the slot is full, we say no — we don’t invent a thirty-first table. If the database can’t take the write, we fail closed instead of faking success.”
Handoff (2:50–3:00)
“That’s the live path — Home, Gallery, Menu, Reservations — on staging. I’m handing off to Architecture: how React, Flask, and Postgres fit together, the diagrams, and how Coverage maps the boxes. Over to you.”
Optional extras (only if time — not core VO)
- Happy book: “I’m booking a table live… success, table N… and the read-only operator page shows the row — not an admin console.”
- Newsletter: “Footer signup stores the email when the database accepts it.”
- Full slot: “This slot is full — honest no.”
Honesty one-liners (pick one early if needed)
- “We’re not claiming page-load or form-speed budgets are met.”
- “Browser checks are partial — not all four browsers.”
- “This share is weekend staging, not production forever.”
End of draft VO. Recorded teammate audio: Unknown until Meghna / Claude records.
